Oh, I love spending time my sister, Kendra, and her family soooooooooooo much! Here are some shots from our FUN Thanksgiving visit. Good time, family time!

Thanksgiving Divorce

A man in Phoenix calls his son in New York two days before Thanksgiving and says, "I hate to ruin your day but I have to tell that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough.

"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer.", the father says.
"We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her."

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone, "Like heck they're getting divorced!"
She shouts, "I'll take care of this!"

She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at her father, "You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don'd do a single thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?!" and hangs up.

The old man hangs up the phone and turns to his wife, "Okay," he says, "they're both coming for Thanksgiving and paying their own way."

Florida Armadillo Frenzy!

So, what has Ms. Johnnie been up to? She's been making wedding cakes like crazy and, speaking of crazy, here is one of her latest crazy cakes! It's a Grooms cake (and there is quite a story behind this, see her website www.somethingsweetcakestudio.com). I love this guy! Yes, you can eat ALL of him and the cake is Red Velvet. Check out the detail---his claws look so real! She is absolutely the best!

She turned four this year. This bright and lively little girl. She is an absolute JOY and I am moved deeply with love for her as I watch her grow each year. Thank you to Donna & Clay Locke (of Coastal Glass & Tint) for inviting me each year to capture Carissa as she grows.

A Dead French Maid and A Doll

That's my girls for Halloween! Cool-out make up on Storm, eh? Sierra and Stormy had friends over and had a blast! I'm glad when halloween falls on a weekend night. We had lots of fun and lots of kids in the neighborhood!

Coffin Cake and Witches Fingers

She did it, AGAIN! Yep, created another fabulous event cake: the Halloween Party Coffin Cake. This had to look crazy with strobes and black lights on! Oh, yes, every bit is deliciously edible! Go, go, Something Sweet! Creepy, crawly glow worms, maggots spilling out from the casket, flies perched on rotting flesh, eye balls, skulls, black roses and freaky fingers lifting the lid of an old pine casket----and to think it was DELICIOUS!
