Holiday Boy!

He turned one and his mommy had gorgeous christmas trees through out her home to take his fabulous images near by! He is so precious, isn't he?!

I had a Birthday!

So did my nephew! His was the day after mine and he turned 7. When asked if he felt any different, he said yes, he said he was faster and stronger than the day before. Darn, I've had enough birthdays to be a superhero! ZOOM, ZOOM!

So, besides being faster and stronger (I have adapted his point of view), I got a super cool gift: an iphone! Now, I'm strong, fast and cool! This gift rocks!

just an ordinary day...

Days go by.....ordinary days that sometime seem endless in the "usual". How are you doing today? "Oh, the same." What are you doing today? "Same 'ol, same 'ol". Have you ever thought to stop and be grateful for your usual, boring day? Because, the days that are not the same, can be life changing and rock you to the core....

Yesterday, was usual for me as I sat down to work at the computer all day.....then the phone rang. It was Florida Hospital and they had a baby that was expiring, the parents wished for professional images and the photographers they had contacted in Orlando were unavailable. Oh, my gosh.....so far to travel......gas is so expensive.....I'll get nothing done today if I go......but, then I remembered, I had asked God to give me the ability to be a blessing to someone today. And here it was, my opportunity. I had no clients scheduled for the day, so I went... and they were thankful. I was a blessing to someone that day. How about you?

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a network of nearly 3,000 volunteer professional photographers that donate their time and talents to families experiencing early infant loss. At a family's request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to your hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive and private portrait session. The portraits are then professionally retouched and presented to the families on CD or DVD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished baby.

Wow!

We're back! Scott and I have returned from Tampa where we attended the ImagingUSA Conference: put on by Professional Photographers of America. What a great time! So much information and education! There was a lot to take in!

It was held at the Tampa Convention Center by the Bay. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Ybor City but, unfortunately, did not have time to spend visiting the area----we were so busy in class and visiting with our friends! We'll just have to go back sometime!

It was great fun seeing and hangin' with all my photographer friends and making new friends! Tuesday we had a 'bunch for lunch'! Photographers from all over the US----a Pro4um Group (the most incredible people in the world)! As well as that group, there were many local photographers. It's a wonderful profession and we share a great freindship among us! It was fun to visit and catch up on everything and everyone!

Sean and I met for the first time at Fort Christmas. That's where his mommy took him for his images. We visited, he played. The result was fabulous images of a 4 year old boy!

Every One is a Winner!

It's just that every one has won something different! Here is the results of our spectacular Christmas Eve drawing!

We took all the entries, printed them out, cut them into small pieces, folded them into even smaller pieces and placed them in a Winter Mug. Then we proceeded to my crazy-messy workroom where I cleared off a corner of the table and blurred the background-----now you can't tell it's so messy! My beautiful assistant, Sierra, reaches in to pull the first place winner. (She's like a little Vanna with braces, isn't she?----hahahahaha!----she's gonna kill me when she reads this!)
She pulls out the first little folded piece of paper. Who is it??!! Who is it!?! This is going to be the 1st place winner for a Free Child's Lifestyle Session!!
