Things That Make You Smile...

Like Sweet Carissa. She is a miracle baby. You can find her on my website where, just 3 short years ago, she was a wrinkled newborn lying on her tummy, covered with rose petals and smiling.....it was her first day home. Each year, in celebration of thier miracle, mommy & daddy hold a grand celebration for her with family and friends----but they do something even more special: every year her mother and father hold a private celebration between the 3 of them. It is this special, intimate time that they graciously invite me to capture. It is my honor to be given the pleasure to watch the miracle of Carissa every year....

Have you ever seen the movie, Pay It Forward? If you haven't, you really should. It's about what we all should be doing here on Earth. So, when someone does something kind for you.....pay it forward.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is an organization comprised of professional photographers who give to families of infants that die. I have been with this organization for some time now. However, Parrish Medical Center occassionally contacted me for these services even before I began working under NILMDTS. Parrish Medical Center has a Woman's Center that is cutting edge in technology yet deeply compassionate of their patients. They reach far beyond the ordinary----all the way to extraordinary!! Helping their clients heal, in more ways than one!

Soldiers Leaving for the Iraq War are another group of individuls who recieve a complimentary session. Do you know of anyone being deployed? Let them know what we can do for their family! The session is free and the soldier leaving will recieve a Little Black Book of images to keep with them while away! The family will recieve a DVD Presentation.

Do you know of a family struggling through a terminal illness? Let them know of our programs to "Give Back". We offer a free session and wall portrait.

Whoopeee! We took home the Distinguished Award for the Illustrative Abstract Division at FPP with "Earth Goddess" thanks to Annalise McNear! Who loves the timeless black & whites of George Hurrell? Dramatic poses and dramatic lighting? Would you or do you know anyone who can pose for this type of work? It takes patience to hold these poses, so the session can last for a couple of hours easily. If you have costumes or clothing of this by-gone era.......I'm interested in that too! We're Off!

State Convention is just around the corner! We will be busy in Orlando from August 24th through the 29th! I'm working on two committees and attending the seminars, salons and workshops! Whew! I feel dizzy just thinking about it! I can't wait to share new ideas with you on my return!
