Greetings! Ciao! Hola! Thanks for checking out my blog. It’s a sneak peek into my crazy, fun world: kinda, journaling with a camera! Oh, but who am I? I’m a photographer and artist who’s totally, I mean, TOTALLY in love with what she does! It’s so hard to call it a ‘job’-----it’s much too fun to be a job! I’m able to meet and hang out with super cool people (oh, yeah!), do wild, exciting things (woot!) and create out-of-this-world, one-of-a-kind art (rock on)! All of this from behind my lens: how super cool is that? (Thank you, God, for I am blessed!) I’m based in Titusville, Florida but, hey, I’ve traveled to faraway places for my fabulous clients (and I’ll do it again)! Please, take your time and have a look around, if you like what you see, give me a call or shoot me an email, tag me on twitter or look me up on facebook. I adore meeting new people and working on new projects (outrageously outlandish to creatively calm) and I’d love to work with you!

Sydney is going to Boston Children's Hospital

Meet Sydney. She is a vivacious seven year old leaving tomorrow to go to Boston Children's Hospital. When I told her that Boston was a famous city, her eyes lit up and she said, "I'll be famous!". (Yes, you will, Sydney.) Then we chatted about the movie "Finding Nemo" and how the city they were traveling to in that story was Sydney, Austrailia and she summized that she was already famous. You would never know while speaking to Sydney that buried deep inside her was a tumor. A tumor placed in a precarious place: where her brainstem meets her brain (medulla). She was only recently diaganosed with this cervicomedullary tumor. Since then, it's been a whirlwind life for her family. Tomorrow, they travel to Boston for the doctors there to meet her, examine her, and see what they can do. Last week, Something Sweet headed a fund raiser to help get Sydney to Boston by donating cookies, brownies, and cupcakes in order to raise over $ 5000 in monetary donations as well as airline tickets and hotel vouchers. Their regular customers (and new ones) all donated to Sydney every time they purchased a sweet treat. Other businesses and people who helped raise money by purchasing & selling treats from Something Sweet were, employees of the City of Titusville, Heavenly Hair in Cocoa, Dixie Crossroads Restaurant, and Professional Aircraft Accessories. Of course, the session and images from us are also donated to the family. The generosity and love poured out from everyone has given Sydney a chance to travel to Boston to work with one of the the greatest children's medical team in the nation. God bless you all!!

Kim & Ben's Cocoa Beach Wedding

A beautiful beach wedding on a fabulous day! Kim & Ben wed on a dazzling afternoon at the Doubletree on Cocoa Beach at 4pm. A wonderful time of day for Nov. 15th! As you can see we had great lighting and a deep azure sky, painted with wisps of clouds! Kim chose Something Sweet to make her fabulous Caribbean-tropical theme cake and Sinatra's Flowers to create stunning tropical arrangements! I covered Kim's wedding for 6 hours, which gave us plenty of time to get some great pictures of the details that went into creating their beautiful day! Kim & Ben also shared a quiet and intimate time together before the ceremony. After their special moments together, they posed for fabulous Bride & Groom Portraits! Thanks, so much, Kim and Ben, for choosing me to capture the most important times in your life! We had lots of fun and we are blessed by having you in our lives! Enjoy your show!

Jake In The Gallery

Add ImageI wanted to show you how fabulous my little corner in the Gallery looks in portraits. Jake's Mommy watches for my specials and gives me a call----she saves money, and I get to watch Jake grow! She chose the Holiday Special at the Gallery so we took images inside and outside. Jake was well contained inside, but kept us all running when we took him outside and to the park! That's a two year old for ya! But, I'll do whatever it takes to get those images that makes Mommy and Daddy's heart skip a beat. (That's why I work out!) Anyway, here are a few taken inside the Gallery!

Thanksgiving Divorce

A man in Phoenix calls his son in New York two days before Thanksgiving and says, "I hate to ruin your day but I have to tell that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough.

"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer.", the father says.
"We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her."

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone, "Like heck they're getting divorced!"
She shouts, "I'll take care of this!"

She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at her father, "You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don'd do a single thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?!" and hangs up.

The old man hangs up the phone and turns to his wife, "Okay," he says, "they're both coming for Thanksgiving and paying their own way."

Florida Armadillo Frenzy!

So, what has Ms. Johnnie been up to? She's been making wedding cakes like crazy and, speaking of crazy, here is one of her latest crazy cakes! It's a Grooms cake (and there is quite a story behind this, see her website www.somethingsweetcakestudio.com). I love this guy! Yes, you can eat ALL of him and the cake is Red Velvet. Check out the detail---his claws look so real! She is absolutely the best!
