My Website Sunrise/Sunset Something Sweet My Twitter

Greetings! Ciao! Hola! Thanks for checking out my blog. It’s a sneak peek into my crazy, fun world: kinda, journaling with a camera! Oh, but who am I? I’m a photographer and artist who’s totally, I mean, TOTALLY in love with what she does! It’s so hard to call it a ‘job’-----it’s much too fun to be a job! I’m able to meet and hang out with super cool people (oh, yeah!), do wild, exciting things (woot!) and create out-of-this-world, one-of-a-kind art (rock on)! All of this from behind my lens: how super cool is that? (Thank you, God, for I am blessed!) I’m based in Titusville, Florida but, hey, I’ve traveled to faraway places for my fabulous clients (and I’ll do it again)! Please, take your time and have a look around, if you like what you see, give me a call or shoot me an email, tag me on twitter or look me up on facebook. I adore meeting new people and working on new projects (outrageously outlandish to creatively calm) and I’d love to work with you!

Themed Storybooks

Wow! Look at these incredible themed Storybooks: our latest addition! They are predesigned and, therefore, will save you money over our Custom Created Storybooks. We have 4 new designs and I have included a few pages from each to give you an idea of the feel of these awesome books!

Our Beach Theme is great for Children and Family Sessions on the beach, of course! The Senior Books have color options for both men and women! The Childhood Book is wonderful for ages 6 months to 6 years and the Richness in Colours Book can be used for older children or families as well!

Albums are among our biggest sellers----why? Because we help busy moms gather precious memories!!!!

Love those George Hurrell's

Who loves the timeless black & whites of George Hurrell? Dramatic poses and dramatic lighting? Would you or do you know anyone who can pose for this type of work? It takes patience to hold these poses, so the session can last for a couple of hours easily. If you have costumes or clothing of this by-gone era.......I'm interested in that too! Please contact me and we will definately chat!

We're Off!

State Convention is just around the corner! We will be busy in Orlando from August 24th through the 29th! I'm working on two committees and attending the seminars, salons and workshops! Whew! I feel dizzy just thinking about it! I can't wait to share new ideas with you on my return!

Will you look at her? I know you have to say, "Aaaaaawwwwwwwhhhhhhhhh". She's sooooooooo sweet! Many moms have their children's portraits taken in studio but Addison's Mom always chooses at home for her children. Look at why! Addison's mommy knows that her kids feel most comfortable, playful and in good spirits in their own environment. Just look at the results! There is nothing like Lifestyle Photography and, gosh, I LOVE working with kids!

Sierra

She's starting Astronaut High this year and I wanted to do a portfolio shoot of her like I do for Seniors. I thought it would be great to compare her 1st year of High School to her last (when she, too, will have a Senior Modeling Session)! We found an AWESOME place in Sanford and thats where we did this. Hopefully, it's session one: I would like to take her to New Smyrna Beach for another session so that we have more than one look in the portfolio. I need to get that done BEFORE school starts!! Who's making bets whether I will get it done or not?!

Congrats to Stacey & Matt

What a blast! Stacey and Matt are absolutely fabulous to work with! But, that's not all! So are their family and friends! We had a wonderful time at their gorgeous wedding! You can take a glimpse of their special day here! I confess, my favorite part of the wedding is during the preparation time when the excitement and thrill can be felt like electricity in the air! The anticipation and the building up to that spritual union.......it's AWESOME!

Happy Fourth!

How was your 4th? Many places were rained out but, here in Titusville, we were lucky and rain averted us. My friend, Kim, and her kids came and we grilled hotdogs and hamburgers (veggie burgers for me; as many of you know, I am a longtime vegetarian). Kim made a fabulous broccoli salad (see recipe below)! She also mentored me on photographing fireworks because she is the queen when it comes to photographing fireworks!

I did alright. Too bad you only get to practice once a year! While looking at the images, they reminded me of many things: flowers, palm trees, nebula. Scott said that, in a way, they were like snowflakes: no two are the same.

Kim's Broccoli Salad

2 Heads of Broccoli – cut
1 ½ cups diced celery
½ lb. bacon – fried and crumbled--(deleted for the vegetarians)
1 ½ cup green grapes (I sliced them in ½)
1 cup raisins
¼ cup onions
1/3 cup sunflower seeds

Dressing

1 cup mayo
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1/3 cup sugar

Throw it all in a bowl and toss and Enjoy!

Expect Great Things! Believe!

"If you expect the best, you will be the best. Learn to use one of the most powerful laws in this world; change your mental habits to belief instead of disbelief. Learn to expect, not to doubt. In so doing, you bring everything into the realm of possibility."

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, 1898-1993 Author of 'The Power Of Positive Thinking'

She's One

In just the blink of an eye, she's one.... and this calls for a celebration!! With a tropical theme, it's time to play in Florida! Hawaiian dances, water sports, relay races, birds that entertain, a volocano cake and endless fun, food, music and festivities! You're only One, once! This wonderful event was designed by "An Affair with Jamie" and attended by many loved ones: both family and friends!

Vacation Time, Now You are the Photographer!

Going on vacation soon? Well, pack up that digital camera (I'm a Canon girl, how about you?) and remember these tips!

1. Keep it on automatic! Digital camera's are very smart, let them do the thinking for you! It will flash when needed and not flash if it doesn't need to.
2. It's easy to get caught up in the moment of having everyone together to get a great shot, but be mindful of the background: don't have a tree or pole protruding from someone's head. (This is where YOU have to do the thinking.)
3. Balance what you take. Besides taking that picture of your family grinning while standing in front of a statue, take a silly picture too: stand back and have some one look like they are kicking or biting it. Take spontaneous images: while your loved ones are playing around or gazing amazed at an incredible new discovery. Capture images of the cabin or hotel you stayed in; it helps tell the story and set the tone. If you vacation there again, years from now, it's fun to see how you and the environment has changed.
4. Experiment! Turn off the flash and take a picture at night: make a silouette or streaming colors of light from moving vehicles. If it doesn't turn out, don't worry! No one will know and you can delete it!
5. Once you download your images, make 2 copies on 2 different disc's. This way, if one cd does not work or becomes scratched, you always have a backup.
6. Tell your story in a special way: buy a special album (because this is a special occassion---vacations are too few and far between!). Check out http://www.adessoalbums.com/digital-instant-photo-guest-books.html for a very nice and unique album.

Have fun!
