Greetings! Ciao! Hola! Thanks for checking out my blog. It’s a sneak peek into my crazy, fun world: kinda, journaling with a camera! Oh, but who am I? I’m a photographer and artist who’s totally, I mean, TOTALLY in love with what she does! It’s so hard to call it a ‘job’-----it’s much too fun to be a job! I’m able to meet and hang out with super cool people (oh, yeah!), do wild, exciting things (woot!) and create out-of-this-world, one-of-a-kind art (rock on)! All of this from behind my lens: how super cool is that? (Thank you, God, for I am blessed!) I’m based in Titusville, Florida but, hey, I’ve traveled to faraway places for my fabulous clients (and I’ll do it again)! Please, take your time and have a look around, if you like what you see, give me a call or shoot me an email, tag me on twitter or look me up on facebook. I adore meeting new people and working on new projects (outrageously outlandish to creatively calm) and I’d love to work with you!

1st Place: "Evening Falls" (Nude Art)

We won! We won! 1st Place at the Professional Photographer's Society of Central Florida in Orlando under the Art-Tech Division! Yipeee! Next, this work of art will go to state competition later in the year. My inspiration for this piece came from, William Bouguereau (1825-1905), a victorian master artist. William painted a piece entitiled "Evening Mood" and when I saw it, I fell in love with it and was inspired to create, "Evening Falls".

It was quite an undertaking. First, I had to find a model who was inspired by art, uninhibited, confident and educated in modeling. As you see, I found the perfect woman. My beautiful model studied the original by Bouguereau so she knew how to fix her hair and makeup as well as have a strong grasp on the pose.

Direction and quality of light was very important to give the feel I knew that I wanted to ultimately create. Next, I took 3 different images that I had from a previous session on the beach----extracted the client from those images----I only wanted the background---and went to work melding them all together, adding color, texture and many retouching tricks! It took several months, lots of eye strain, a hunched back from sitting at the computer, numerous flare-ups of carpel-tunnel and occassional calls to my artist support group (thanks, Ken and Kim)----and, finally, "Evening Falls" was born.

Evening Falls contains frontal nudity, therefore, I have posted as a later date (I don't know how to make a private page) so that it is a private viewing. Please click here if you wish to see beautiful, "Evening Falls".
